April 2022 Media Diet
April was my first full month living in Washington DC, and other than a brief bout with COVID, it was fantastic!
My niece Caitlyn got into college at Arizona State, I got to know my new city a little better, I met a bunch of new people, and my business has been booming.
Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed to the Supreme Court, the war in Ukraine raged on, and Elon Musk is apparently buying Twitter (lol). Happy Easter, Ramadan, Passover, Tax Day, Earth Day, Coachella, and 4/20 to all who celebrated! I hope you had as good a month as I did — or at the very least that it was better than Madison Cawthorn’s.

On My Radar
“Knowing yourself is to be rooted in Being, instead of lost in your mind.”
— Eckhart Tolle

“We must love them both, those whose opinions we share and those whose opinions we reject. For both have labored in the search for truth, and both have helped us in the finding of it.” — Saint Thomas Aquinas
“Pay close attention in conversation to what is being said, and to what follows from any action. In the action, immediately look for the target, in words, listen closely to what’s being signaled.” — Marcus Aurelius
“Don’t look away. Don’t look down. Don’t pretend not to see hurt. Look people in the eye. Even when their pain is overwhelming. And when you’re hurting and in pain, find the people who can look you in the eye.” — Brené Brown

What I’m Watching
I started watching Married at First Sight and I had to stop — it was just TOO AWKWARD. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On was not much better. I fear that we have become desensitized to insanity on reality TV over the decades.
What I’m Reading
Books:
The Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony by Roberto Calasso
I want to read a biography on James Garfield next. Let me know if you have any recommendations!

Videos I Published
I published six videos this month, which is the most I’ve done in a single month since I started my channel in January.
P.S. If you’re not already subscribed to my channel, please do so!
I really love this one! I agreed with so many of the tweets and comments in this blog.
