June 2022 Media Diet
Whew. This was a month. 🥵
It was PRIDE month 🏳️🌈, a rogue Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, inflation soared and we learned that the U.S. will likely sink into recession, Cassidy Hutchinson dropped bombshells in her Jan 6 testimony, my mom came to DC for a visit, and I celebrated my 37th birthday.

I’m new to TikTok so for the month of June, I challenged myself to post at least one TikTok video per day. My account grew from 77 to 333 followers this month as a result. I could grow faster if I posted 4-5x per day but sustainability & consistency are key. (If you’re on TikTok, please follow me!)

On My Radar

“In this way you must understand how laughable it is to say, ‘Tell me what to do!’ What advice could I possibly give? No, a far better request is, ‘Train my mind to adapt to any circumstance’…In this way, if circumstances take you off script…you won’t be desperate for a new prompting.” — Epictitus, Discourses
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.
— RUMI
“In the middle of the journey of our life
I found myself within a dark woods
Where the straight way was lost.”
— Dante
